Entrepreneurial Behavior

Vita

Before joining the University of Bayreuth, I did post-doctoral research, taught, and participated in the Munich startup ecosystem at the TU Munich. Additionally, I was a Visiting Scholar at Lund University in 2020 and am closely involved in international research projects. My work is supported by the Joachim Herz Foundation Ad-On Fellowship and has received national and international awards. In addition to my experience in academia, I bring in my prior experience as a strategy consultant as well as my extensive experience working with startups.

Entrepreneurial Behavior

My empirical research focuses on how founders develop business ideas through social processes and experience the entrepreneurial process cognitively and emotionally. One focus of my empirical research is to understand how founding teams work together, involve their environment in the development of the innovative business models, overcome difficulties in the team, and follow their visions to develop the startup in the long term.
