Vita
In addition to my role in research and teaching, I am engaged at the University of Bayreuth as Director for Entrepreneurship & Start-ups at the Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, where I support entrepreneurial ventures and innovation initiatives as part of the Food Valley Kulmbach project.
Before joining the University of Bayreuth, I conducted post-doctoral research, taught, and contributed to the Munich startup ecosystem at TU Munich. In addition, I was a Visiting Scholar at Lund University in 2020 and continue to be closely involved in international research projects. My work was supported by the Joachim Herz Foundation Ad-On Fellowship and has received both national and international recognition. Alongside my academic experience, I bring prior experience as a strategy consultant as well as extensive experience working with startups.

Entrepreneurial Behavior
In my empirical research, I focus on the question of how social interactions influence entrepreneurial and innovation projects. For example, I investigate how entrepreneurial teams develop business models through social interactions and jointly shape the entrepreneurial process on both a cognitive and emotional level. Building on existing research on entrepreneurial teams, I particularly examine how team dynamics evolve over time and how they influence the emergence and further development of ventures. A central focus of my research is understanding how teams integrate their private and professional environments into the development of innovative business ideas, how they deal with conflicts, uncertainties, and differing goals, and how these processes shape entrepreneurial action. My aim is to make the often hidden social mechanisms within entrepreneurial teams more visible and thereby contribute to a deeper understanding of the development and long-term success of startups.
